What is follo?
follo is a one-way notification service that lets people follow a person, business, product, event, group, property, waitlist, or other subject through a link or QR code and receive updates from its owner.
Can I notify customers without an app?
Yes. Customers follow with a link or a QR code and an email address. Updates reach them in follo, and by email on paid plans, and nobody installs anything.
Can I send team updates without a group chat?
Yes. Create a follo for the team or class, share its link or QR code with families, and send practice changes, reminders and cancellations. Updates go one way, so nobody replies to everyone.
Can customers follow a mobile business's location?
Yes. A food truck or pop-up creates a follo for the business and sends a Today's location update wherever it parks. follo doesn't track location; you say where you are.
Can I notify buyers when an item changes?
Yes. A follo for something for sale has a price, and you can tell followers about a price drop, a sale, or that it's still available or back in stock.
What does a follower need to follow?
An email address. follo sends a passwordless sign-in link; no name, password, phone number, or mailing address is required.
How often can I notify followers?
Up to three times per follo in any 24 hours, on every plan.
Can I unfollow?
Yes. Unfollow from your follo list or from the link in a notification email. Future notifications for that follo stop immediately.
Selling something
Is follo a marketplace?
No. follo does not host the transaction, take offers, or replace the original listing. The original marketplace or seller website remains the place to evaluate and buy the item.
Is follo affiliated with Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, eBay, or another marketplace?
No. follo is independent and works with an arbitrary seller-provided listing URL.
Does every price change send an email?
No. A price change is recorded first. The seller must separately choose to notify followers, and only a price drop is eligible.
Does follo charge for the item sale?
No. follo's paid plans cover notification and active-follo capacity. The transaction remains outside follo.
