How it works
How follo works
follo is a one-way notification service that lets people follow a person, business, product, event, group, property, waitlist, or other subject through a link or QR code and receive updates from its owner.
The four steps
-
Say what people will follow
follo asks one question first: what do you want people to follow? Something for sale, a business, a person or creator, a group, an event, a team or class, a waitlist, a property, or something else.
The answer sets the wording and the ready-made messages. Only something for sale or a property has a price.
-
Share the link or QR code
Every follo gets a fixed follo.ad link and a QR code. Put them on a listing, a flyer, a sign, a receipt or a roster, or print tags for a table.
The link never changes, so it works on paper and anywhere you can't paste code.
-
People follow with an email address
No app to install and no password. follo sends a sign-in link, and following is one tap from then on.
You see how many people follow.
-
You send one-way updates
Pick a message made for your follo — a price drop, today’s location, a practice change, an opening — or write your own. Followers get it in follo, and by email on paid plans.
Updates go one way. Followers don’t reply to the whole list, and nothing sends on its own.
What each side sees
What the owner sees
Every follo with its follower count, how many updates each has sent, and a record of everything that went out.
What a follower sees
One list of everything they follow, and an alert in follo and their inbox when something changes. Unfollowing is one tap.
