How do I tell parents practice is cancelled?
Give parents a follo for the team and send a Cancellation update the moment practice is off. Every family that followed hears it at once in follo, and by email on paid plans, without a phone tree or a group chat.
Step by step

Create a Team / Class follo
Name it for the team, such as U10 Hornets soccer.

Share it with families
Print the QR code on the roster sheet and paste the link in the league email.

Parents follow with an email address
No app and no password.

Send a Cancellation
Choose Cancellation, add the reason, and send.

Other ways, and when they're better
A group text
Better when the group is small and everyone already knows each other. It gets noisy fast and shares everyone's number with everyone.
An email list
Better for long newsletters with images and sections. It means sign-up forms, unsubscribes and a tool to run.
Calling each family
Better for a team of four. Slow for everyone else, and someone is always missed.
