Guide
How can I notify customers without an app?
Create a follo for your business and let customers follow it from a link or QR code. When you send an update, follo delivers it in their follo list, and by email on paid plans, so nobody has to download an app.
Step by step
-
Create a Business follo
Title it with your business name.
-
Share the link and QR code
At the register, on receipts, in your bio.
-
Customers follow with an email address
A sign-in link, no password and nothing to install.
-
Send an update
A promotion, new hours, a new arrival or anything else.
What the message looks like
Northline Goods: hours update
Closed Monday for inventory; back Tuesday at 10.
Other ways, and when they're better
Your own app
Better if you need payments, accounts or ordering built in. Most customers won't install it for updates alone.
An email list
Better for long newsletters with images and sections. It means sign-up forms, unsubscribes and a tool to run.
A social post
Better for reaching new people who don't know you yet. Followers only see it if the feed decides to show it.
What follo is
follo is a one-way notification service that lets people follow a person, business, product, event, group, property, waitlist, or other subject through a link or QR code and receive updates from its owner.
